Our Mission

At Ruined Running Events we want everyone to enjoy their trail race experience.

We strive to be as inclusive as we can - seasoned runners and inexperienced runners are all very welcome at our events.

If additional needs are preventing you from having the confidence to be on the start line then please get in touch as we would love to get to know you.

And show you some ruins....

Our Commitment

In order to reduce the impact that out events have on the environment and natural habitats, we make sure that we collaborate with the right

organisations and land owners to ensure the impact to the event location and the surrounding area is minimised.

We take into consideration ecologically sensitive areas, ground nesting birds and livestock in addition to the flora and fauna of the land.

We ask all our entrants & supporters to adopt our policies in order to 'not leave a trace' and promote sustainability following our events. These best practices include:

*using reusable cups for drinks rather than plastic bottles

*car sharing whenever possible

*using segregated waste disposal to dispose of rubbish at the event to

facilitate recycling

*upcycing old race gear by bringing it to our events for redistribution

*sweeping of the course (by our team) to ensure all materials associated with the event are cleared

*zero tolerance to littering

We also ask our entrants to recognise our 'reduce the junk' policy - finishers won't receive glitsy 'swag bags' or a medal you could prop a door open with but they will receive a worthy keepsake to mark their

achievement in addition to a couple of treats.
